Our 2005 charter members are:

Our first book to read is Stephanie Tolan's novel Welcome to the ARK. Published in 1996 the author gives a story "set in the near future" with four super intelligent misfits who are selected to be in a group home. There they connect with others like themselves through the internet and their own telepathic abilities. Violence in our world is at the center of the of this connection.
As the sponsor I hope each of the charter members will add his or her feelings about this book and we invite others to comment also.
Our next title will most likely be Thirsty by M.T. Anderson.

I read "The Other Half of Me" and I thought it was a very compelling book. The fact that she doesn't think she belongs in the family she grew up with and then she finds her half sister and her sister is exactly like the rest of her family. She feels like she doesn't belong with anyone and she thinks her boyfriend wants to be with her halfsister. In the end she finds out that her boyfriend and her halfsister were just planning something in her favor and that is the only reason they were acting so close.
